I am sad, guys. I am sitting here with a massive bowl of soggy cereal, looking up my course book lists. Vacation is over. Nine beautiful days on the Cape, and we are home again. At least the weather was terrible today, so we didn’t feel like the Cape was mocking us for leaving. I’ll be back for Labor Day Weekend, but this is the beginning of the end. After that, the house will be closed up for the off-season, which is the absolute saddest thing. I always feel so bad leaving at the end of the season, and the impending winter doesn’t make it any easier. I feel like it was May like, yesterday, and all of a sudden the summer flew by again. I am kind of excited for fall fashion and new classes, but summer is such a magical time and I’m always heartbroken when it ends. We spent the second half of our vacation indulging in our two favorite things: food and beach….Delicious sister date-dinner. Obviously we both got pasta!
Smoothie for her and green juice for me at Green Lotus Cafe, the only vegetarian restaurant on the Cape!
My sister and I decided to cook a big dinner for the family. We bought all the groceries and then kicked everyone out of the kitchen for the evening. She made this gorgeous Caprese salad. Almost too pretty to eat!
Dinner on the deck, complete with a citronella candle to ward off the bugs.
Emma’s Caprese salad and my aglio olio with artichokes, tomatoes, chickpea and basil.
Stone fruit pie with nectarines, plums and peaches topped with vanilla bean ice cream was the perfect dessert.
Gorgeous sailboat ride with my dad
He’s such a cutie!
My dad has gotten really into selfies lately…
…And I love to take them when he isn’t looking haha

Enjoying the unreal sunsets at Grey’s Beach Pier. This is one of my family’s favorite spots since before I was born.
Enjoying ice cream bars from the snack shack
The incredible tortellini with basil-walnut pesto cream sauce at Mattakeese Wharf. This is the stuff dreams are made of, guys.

Girl pic!
My adorable grandma, Baba, is really into selfies
No one tell her I put this up… she will actually kill me but it is too cute!
Sister snuggles on our bench. You may recall a shot of me sitting here alone a few posts back…
Yes we coordinated our denim… I’m wearing my ChicWish dress again!
Absolutely adore my little sis, Pooey (one of a billion nicknames)
Brand-new matching sweatshirts and we found a gorgeous vintage Plymouth to match! I’m weirdly into old cars. Not that I know anything about the inner workings of cars; I just think old ones like this are so beautiful and classy. Plus, pastels!
One final ice cream cone, and vacation was officially over…
I actually have a pretty light week, so post-vacation real world-reentry hopefully won’t be that bad. Have a great week everyone!
XX, Gabrielle
