The first designer piece I ever bought for myself was a red Rebecca Minkoff crossbody.  I had a few other designer items in my wardrobe, but they were gifts or hand-me-downs.  This red RM bag was a gift from me to me, with hard-earned money from a long, hot summer as a camp counselor.  I still remember how proud I was to have this beautiful piece that was all my own, and I wore it with everything.

I got to meet Rebecca at New York Fashion Week in the September 2016, and she was so excited when I told her about my red bag.  She told me that stories like mine, of young women who really love the brand, saving up to buy themselves special pieces, are why she loves to do what she does.  Rebecca Minkoff wants to make every woman feel like the best-dressed woman in the room, and whenever I pull out my red bag, I do.
