I went in for a touch-up at the salon yesterday, but then my stylist and I decided that we’d do something a little different for summer.  I’m a natural blonde, usually with long mermaid locks – I had butt-length hair by the time I was three – and I’m not big on experimenting or making drastic changes.  Aside from a lob last winter, you can usually find me embracing my Princess Buttercup-esque hair.  But platinum hair has been in the back of my mind since spring, and Katherine, my stylist extraordinaire, said that with bayalage, we could lighten me up without dyeing my entire head.

I’m so happy with how my hair came out!  We kept my roots darker for depth, which also keeps it from washing out paler skin tones.  Kylie Jenner’s wig stylist Tokyo Stylez does the same thing with her pastel wigs.  I wanted to share some photos with you and also some of my favorite products for keeping my color fresh between salon visits…
