Happy Tuesday!
I wanted to share some more photos from our trip to Arizona with you; I already cannot wait to go back to this beautiful place! On our second full day in Arizona, we drove about an hour outside of Tucson to the Sonora Desert Museum and Saguaro National Park. It is a dream and goal of mine to go to every National Park! The Sonora Desert Museum is a national wildlife habitat/zoo/botanical garden for a few of the deserts most amazing plants and creatures, including the javelina. When my sister and I were little, our parents used to read us The Three Little Javelinas, which is a cooler Three Little Pigs with desert animals. Ever since then, we’ve wanted to see javelinas in the wild, and we finally got to! Needless to say, we were so excited and totally geeking out, wearing our javelina baseball caps that we’d gotten the day before in Sabino Canyon.
I said this in my post about hiking in Sabino, but I must reiterate that Arizona is truly one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever seen. I will always remember driving the dirt roads of Saguaro, singing old music with my family and admiring the endless mountains and cacti of one of our nation’s National Parks.
It was Opening Day yesterday, and I’m so excited and exhausted from the first Red Sox game of the season. Stay tuned for pics!
Have a great week! Love, Me
