Sometimes I find little things that make my life so much easier, and I just have to share them with you guys! Last week, I attended the opening of a new Sephora in my neighborhood (and preemptively said goodbye to every cent in my bank account) and picked up this little blotting papers compact while waiting in the checkout line. Sephora always puts really cute travel sizes and small products by the register, and while I don’t usually fall victim to the temptation, I’d already had this brand on my mind.
Too Cool For School is one of many Korean skincare and beauty line arriving at Sephora, and based on their reviews, I knew I wanted to try out some of their products. Korean beauty is known for being affordable, effective, and adorably-packaged, so you really can’t go wrong adding a few products to your arsenal. Too Cool For School actually partners with artists to design their insanely cute product packaging, and the Dinoplatz line is done by a very cool artist, Hatori Sando! As someone who loves cute products and usually has to powder my t-zone frequently throughout the day, I decided to start my brand testing with these blotting papers.
I have only the best things to say about this little guy! The compact is virtually weightless, and unlike any blotting papers I’ve ever used, it has a mirror inside so you can actually see what you’re doing. The blotting papers are natural Hanji, a Korean handmade paper that is made from one-hundred percent mulberry, and they absorb oil without disturbing your makeup. The best part, in my opinion, is that it comes with an innovative cushion puff with an adhesive that picks up the blotting sheet for you, so you aren’t touching your face at all. No oils from your hands get on the sheet, and no germs and bacteria can be transferred onto your face! This was always my problem with using blotting papers, and Too Cool For School solved it with an inexpensive and adorable product.
I love these compacts so much that I’ll be giving them out to my girlfriends in their holiday presents. I can’t believe Chanukah and Christmas are coming up! Stay tuned for more reviews and stocking stuffers. Love, Me
