Hello, Boston! My Greece trip was both amazing and insane, and I can’t wait to write about it. But since today is Wednesday, Inspirations come first!
I’ve always loved the 4th of July. I grew up in Boston, about a mile away from the Esplanade, where the Boston Pops would put on their Fireworks Spectacular. One of my earliest memories is my mom bringing me up on our roof way to watch the fireworks. I knew that it was way past my bedtime, meaning it was probably about ten o’clock, but it was so exciting; I’d seen fireworks at the end of Little Mermaid, but this was the real deal, and I knew it was magic.
So with America’s biggest holiday coming up, this week’s Inspo has a decidedly patriotic theme…
1. I grew up watching the most gorgeous fireworks explode over the Charles River from my parents’ roof. Here are the biggest fireworks displays for Monday. (via Condé Nast Traveler)
2. Two supremely summer hairstyles to rock on the 4th! Which one is your favorite? (via Byrdie)
3. The best ice cream in every one of our fifty states. (via PopSugar)
4. I love this healthy fruit platter as a flag cake alternative. (via Tenderly)
5. If you want to look patriotic and stylish. (via Who What Wear)
6. How the Obama’s celebrated our nation’s holiday every year. I’m really going to miss them! (via PopSugar)
We live in the greatest country in the world, and I hope that we continue to improve it and ourselves. However you’re celebrating, have a happy holiday! XX
