So after a pretty lame week last week, I just got home (like, an hour ago) from five days of traveling through six states. My dad’s best friend since high school, Dan, has a daughter, Razie, who is basically my big sister. Razie and her awesome fiancé got married this weekend!!! They live in Israel, but Razie grew up in Brooklyn, so they decided to get married in New York instead of Israel so that we could all celebrate with them, which is so nice, even though she is probably one of the only people for whom my family would fly to Israel, so we did miss out in that respect! The wedding was going to be in Port Jervis, which is about 5.5 hours away from Boston, right on the NY/Pennsylvania border. But instead of driving like crazy on the day of the wedding, my parents and I decided to make a weekend out of this and go to NYC for the weekend first. It was out of the way, but such a nice weekend and road trips with my family are one of my favorite things in the world. And oh my god, this was one of the most stunning, happy weddings I have ever seen; so much love in one place, and such spirit and joy. I danced all night on my bad foot, but I just couldn’t help myself! I went back to NYC by myself after the wedding to see friends, so I only just got back. I am totally exhausted, but it was worth it!
Little no makeup-selfie on the way to NYC. There was so much traffic that it took us six hours instead of the usual 3.5…
S’mores platter at DTUT (Downtown Uptown)! This place has such good food and yummy cocktails, plus it was two blocks from our friends’ apartment. I had so much fun roasting marshmallows indoors and not having to worry about mosquito bites!
DTUT is on the Upper East Side, but with all the hip decor it felt kind of Brooklyn…
Manhattan sunrises and sunsets are always incredible
Selfie Saturday wearing my new ChicWish dress. I love the off-shoulders!
The gorgeous view from our friends’ roof deck on the UES
Saturday night desserts at Cafe d’Alsace with my daddy!
Pit stop at a farm for cider donuts, peaches, and sunflowers, three of my favorite things
Walking over the Delaware River in Port Jervis, right on the border of Pennsylvania and New York.
Perfect weather and view for a wedding! We were speechless when we saw this.
We took a bunch of photos after the ceremony!
Daddy made a new friend (from afar)
My beautiful sister, the bride!!!!
How we usually pose for pictures haha
Dancing to Sinatra with my daddy!
The most beautiful and wonderful bride&groom
Back in NYC today with my bestie
Israeli lunch in the Village at 12 Chairs Cafe
Amazing sunset on my train ride back to Boston. They’re always the best after a cloudy day.
