One week left in Israel as of today. It’s surreal. I feel like I’ve just gotten here, and I’m about to pack up and leave again. My emotions are a jumble; I can’t imagine leaving my friends and my love, but Boston is calling to me. Israel is my homeland, but Boston is my home. I’ll be spending Christmas week in England with my family, and then home to the USA. So here’s the last (or second-to-last) entry in my Israel photo diary…
Forget the Kardashian Kristmas Kard… we do it best
Posing in front of one of Jerusalem’s many outdoor Chanukiot on the 8th night
Behaving very badly at the Kotel… Peeking over the separator onto the men’s side
The famous Kotel chanukiah all lit up
Real oil lamps lit outside like in the Chanukah days of old
And with that, I leave you with the wisdom of Martin Luther King Jr., “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
Embrace holiday cheer, and spread love and light to all. Happy holidays from me to you, XO
can’t wait to have you back in the us… xx
