The Products I Didn’t Like

Usually, I like to focus on positive reviews and products I like, but I realize that I do a disservice by not sharing the products that don’t work for my skin.  So today is all about some new products I’ve tried and discarded and why…

Physician’s Formula Bronzer

I mentioned trying this bronzer in the spring.  It’s a favorite of vlogger Olivia Jade, but it made me break out, so I switched back to my favorite Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blends.

Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil

I love retinol and I love face oils, so I really wanted to love this retinol product, but for some reason, it made me break out everywhere.  I had small pimples in places on my face that I’d never gotten acne before, and when I stopped using it, they went away.

Glossier Priming Moisturizer

This is the one Glossier product I don’t use.  I broke out a little and it didn’t give me enough hydration.  I use Priming Moisturizer Rich instead, which smells incredible and makes my skin soft and supple.

L’Oreal Paris Cosmetics Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

loreal-lash-paradise-286-1I really wanted to like this very popular mascara, but I didn’t.  I tried it alone as well as layered over my beloved Benefit Roller Lash mascara (which I use as a curling, priming mascara instead of using an eyelash curler) but it just didn’t give me the volume, length or staying-power I desire.

As always, what works or doesn’t work for me might not be the same for you!  Just wanted to be honest and show you some products that I’ve given a shot.

Have a great weekend!  Love, Me

  1. Wow! Two big ones on here that are fan faves! I appreciate you going against the grain on the general consensus here. I do that sometimes too and catch some heat for it. My biggest gripe with that lash paradise mascara, is that for $5 more, I could just buy the high end one. It’s not really a deal to me!
