Five Favorites: Travel Size

In the past year, I’ve used a carry-on suitcase for almost every trip.  I used to check a bag no matter what, worrying that I couldn’t fit everything I’d need in a carry-on.  Checked baggage is like a security blanket: you can overpack and overprepare.  Of course, the caveat is that if your luggage gets lost, you have nothing for an unknown amount of time.  After a few bad travel experiences, I was fed-up enough to start thinking smaller…

One of the best ways to start traveling light is to switch to travel-size products.  Full-size products take up space while adding a lot of weight to your bag, and there’s always the risk that something will break and spill.  There’s nothing worse than finally arriving at your destination and opening up your suitcase to a burst bottle of lotion all over your clothes.  I’m much less worried about my belongings getting damaged when I’m the one handling my baggage from departure to destination.

I’m off to New York again tomorrow, and I pretty much have my Big Apple packing routine down pat.  I’ve rounded up my favorite travel-size products to help you get started.  Downsizing feels even better when you’ve got some cute miniatures!

Learning how to make do with less is so important in every aspect of life.  Why not start with your suitcase?

Love, Me
