May Beauty Buys

MAC Mineralize Volcanic Ash Exfoliator – Exfoliating is the key to healthy, glowing skin.  I fell in love with this scrub after my cousin let me try hers, and it is definitely worth the $30 price tag!

MAC ‘Girl About Town’ Lipstick – This is a classic MAC shade, but I’d never tried it before.  I was having a bad case of the Monday’s, and this lipstick totally turned it around.  I really love how versatile it is; I can put it on with liner for a gorgeous deep pink or dab a little on top of lip balm to look like the prettiest pink stain.

Maybelline New York Dream Bouncy Blush – Bouncy Blush is an award-winning cult classic, but I’d never really been a blush person, aside from Nars ‘Orgasm’ blush.  Lately I haven’t been using blush at all, focusing on strobing instead, but I really like this cream/powder hybrid that leaves such a natural flush on my cheeks.

Physician’s Formula Bronze Booster – My go-to bronzer is Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blends, but Physician’s Formula makes some of the best bronzers on the market.  This goes on smoothly, and gives you a natural glow rather than cakey orange.

Kérastase Reflection Bain Chroma Captive Shampoo – I love my hair, but it takes work!  Spending so much time in the summer sun really does a number on my hair, so I’m always looking for products to use at home to keep me out of the salon chair.  I know from working in a luxury salon that Kérastase makes some of the best haircare in the game, and this shampoo was definitely worth the splurge.
