Hi from Israel! Today, I wanted to share with you guys a few of the ways I’ve made my life healthier in the past few months. These aren’t drastic changes, and they’re not too difficult; chances are, you probably won’t even really notice them, until they yield positive results!
1. Sneak Attack! One of the easiest ways to get healthy is to make small changes to your diet. For example, I add spinach or kale to my smoothies. These leafy greens have virtually no taste, but you’ll reap the benefits of iron, copper, calcium and lots of vitamins. As an added bonus, your smoothie will be a pretty shade of green.
2. Say goodbye to sugar. Ok, hear me out on this one: people love sugar, and it is in basically everything. BUT, it is a fact that sugar is basically the worst thing you can put in your body. I barely eat chocolate or gummies anymore, and when I want a sweet treat, I choose frozen mango chunks over ice cream – they have a great consistency, and are low in calories and fat, while giving you fiber, vitamins C, A, K, and potassium!
3. Get moving. You don’t have to go to the gym or run a marathon in order to get some exercise. Even if I’m just cleaning my apartment or walking to the drugstore instead of driving, I’m in motion, and I’m helping my body! Check out PopSugar’s tips for tricking yourself into exercising.
4. Buddy System. Do you have a friend who loves PureBarre or SoulCycle? Go with them; it is way more fun to work out with a buddy, and when you’re having fun, you won’t really be as focused on what you’re doing, i.e. sweating your brains out. ClassPass is a great way to try out all the different kinds of classes in your area instead of shelling out the big bucks for every single class.
5. Try something new. Ok so technically this one isn’t sneaky, BUT it is still important! Swap out lettuce for a kale salad, or add a new fruit to your smoothie.
Great post and inspiring photos! Keep blogging girl, you’re great. 🙂
