Hallo-Wants

Happy October!  Before the deep freeze that is Boston winter sets in, I actually love fall.  Changing leaves, reading under cozy blankets, and mulled wine with cider donuts!

I’m not so into the blood and gore versions of Halloween, but spooky-cute is definitely a theme I can incorporate into my life.  I thought I’d start the most mysterious month of the year by sharing my favorite Halloweenie items with you…

These candles are cute enough to keep around my apartment without my mom thinking I’m going to adopt a black cat and start doing seances.

Embellished flats are all the rage in general, and these ones are spooky enough for Halloween, but still wearable the other 364 days of the year!

If you’re not able to do the beautifully creepy Dia de los Muertos mask with makeup, this gorgeous (and inexpensive) mask is a quick fix.  And way better for your skin!

Hallow-Month is all about the spooky, even though the actual holiday is all the way at the end of October.  Rocky Horror is one of the all-time great weird, wonderful movies, and a Halloween classic.  This shirt is vintage perfection for your must-see movie every October.  Another option?  This Forever21 top.

Halloween can be scary and it can also be fun.  The beauty of a holiday all about costumes?  You make it whatever you want it to be.  I’ll be posting more about one of my favorite times of year as the month goes on…

XX, Gabrielle
