Lone Starr Stories: Peachy Keen

I know, I’ve been kind of slacking on here ever since baseball season started. (Hint: check out Girl At The Game)

But I just got back from an incredible birthday trip with my mom and sister, so lots of fun travel content coming your way! We went to Texas, San Antonio and Austin, specifically, and it was so much fun.

I love exploring new places, and I really love the South, both east and west. Savannah and New Orleans are two of the coolest and most beautiful cities I’ve ever been to, and I had the best time on our family trip to Arizona last year, so I was really excited to go back down.

On our first day in Texas, we all flew into the Austin airport, but were going to spend our first two and a half days in San Antonio. It’s about a 90-minute drive between the two cities, but we took a more scenic route so that we could drive through hill country. It’s currently peach season, so we stopped at about a million little farms and stands to eat peaches, peach cider, and peach ice cream. We also had amazing vegan peach cobbler later in the week.

It was really special to spend my birthday weekend with my mom and sister. Being in long-distance relationships is hard, especially with the people you love most.
