This FOTW is especially great for LA locals!
I love having candles in my apartment, both for decor and use. But I hate how overpriced most candles are; they’re not usually worth the price, not that I have the money for them anyway.
But last Sunday at the Larchmont farmer’s market, I was shocked to see a candle stand aptly named “Market Candle” offering a range of beautiful candles for just $10. Seeing as that’s cheaper than most pressed juices, I took the bait.
The candles are simple and elegant, cased in clear glass, so they’ll go with any decor. They’re made with soy wax rather than paraffin wax (a petroleum product), so they burn cleanly in your home and last longer. And the scents are incredible, everything from grapefruit to ginger vanilla (my next buy) to black pepper rose.
I bought a jasmine candle that smelled so incredible, I could barely believe it. But I didn’t have the highest expectations for two reasons. The first is that I’ve purchased jasmine candles in the past that have barely emitted any scent. And the second reason was that the candle was so inexpensive, I didn’t think it would work so well.
I’m so thrilled to have been wrong. I’ve lit this candle three days in a row now, and each time, my bedroom smells like it’s filled with fresh jasmine. I can’t wait to gift these candles and add more to my home!
You can buy Market Candles online or at the Larchmont Farmer’s Market on Sundays from 8 AM – 2 PM!
