I might be the only person in the world who isn’t crazy about GlamGlow’s cult product SUPERMUD® Clearing Treatment. The few times I tried it, my skin looked clearer for a day, and then broke out!
As someone who used to have a lot of acne, understandably, that bad experience has made me hesitant to try other GlamGlow products. But a friend of mine has been raving about the masks of theirs she’s been trying, so I decided to give them a second chance.
After spending time on the frigid east coast and flying, my skin has needed some extra hydration. I opted for ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment, GlamGlow’s multi-purpose mask. It can be used as a mask, an overnight treatment, or as a protective barrier for your skin while flying. But after doing my due diligence, I decided that the overnight option would be best for my parched skin.
I applied a thin layer of the mask to my skin before bed. I was surprised by its tropical scent and refreshing tingling sensation. It’s made with hyaluronic acid, citric acid, honey, ginger root, coconut (hence the tropical scent), and olive leaf for hydration, nourishment, and radiance-boosting. The formula feels a little sticky, but not drippy or heavy on your face.
At $69, the mask is on the pricier end (full disclosure: I did not buy this.) It also doesn’t come with a spatula for contaminate-free application. But if you’re using it as an overnight treatment where it’s on your skin for hours at a time, I think it’s worth the splurge.
The packaging is beautiful, does the mask hydrate your skin?
