I’ve been a Trader Joe’s shopper for most of my life. There’s one in between our local T-stop, so my mom would walk through it almost every day on the way home from work. Though we occasionally stray to Whole Foods, Stop N Shop, or our farmer’s market in the summer, Trader Joe’s is our go-to. As an adult, I still make the ten-minute drive to our store. I buy food, flowers, and skincare, yes, skincare there!
Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe vera is an incredible plant with a myriad of purposes (try drinking it!), but not everyone uses it for good. Steer clear of any aloe products with alcohol in them and look for ingredient lists where aloe is one of the primary ingredients. That might seem like a no-brainer, but you’d be surprised at how many aloe vera gels are mostly comprised of other ingredients. Tip: if they’re dyed green, they’re probably made with alcohol and other chemicals. TJ’s aloe might come in a green bottle, but that’s as far as the color goes. I use this instead of body lotion in the summer for lightweight hydration and after-sun soothing.
Antioxidant Facial Serum
My mom has been using this for a long time, and since she always looks so radiant, I recently picked up a bottle for myself in an effort to spend less on skincare. It has an almost-velvety texture, which is very different from most serums I used, but it’s lightweight and so far does not irritate my skin or make me break out. I consider it a win.
Coconut Body Butter
I love the scent of this deeply-hydrating moisturizer. I only wish it came in a squeeze or pump bottle instead of a tub.
Natural Facial Cleansing Pads with Tea Tree Oil
I have been using these little face pads all summer, and I really think they help mattify and keep my skin clear. I use them morning and night, and I love how refreshing they smell and how much better my skin looks!
Have you tried any TJ’s products? Have a great weekend! Love, Me
