A year and a half. Seventeen months. I took a very very long hiatus from this blog. I came home from Israel, and my entire life changed. New school, new apartment, new job. I got my first pair of prescription glasses and started working part-time for my father. I dealt with heartbreak, I missed my friends. For a long time, I didn’t have the energy to post. I wasn’t sure how to put my feelings about my life into words on the computer screen that is my page. I’m still not always sure, but having an outlet for blabber is supposedly therapeutic, so here we go again….
I’ll start with a photo recap of my time away:
- First trip of 2014: Savannah, Georgia and Hilton Head Island with my family. Loved walking through Forsyth Park with my mom and grandma, Baba. (pictured above)
- Cape Cod sunsets are always beyond incredible, and I’m so lucky to see them all summer long, every year.
- Going from roommates in Israel to living in different states has been the worst, but we make the long-distance best friendship work!
- Spent a lot of beautiful days at Fenway Park. Win or lose, its the best way to spend a summer afternoon in Boston.
- The best thing after a long winter was lots of time outside with my family. Somehow my mom convinced us to spend a Sunday hiking in Dover, MA. (Ice cream bribery was involved)
- My dad took this picture of me at Chapin Beach on the Cape. We love going there in the early mornings, and walking for miles on the sandbars.
- Got to see my very cool cousin Jack Antonoff in concert twice this year!
- Christmas/Chanukah in NYC with my best girls from Tel Aviv. We live in Boston, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Denver, so to be all together again was the best present ever.
- My mom took me on a girls-only trip for Chanukah… this was the view from my bed in Florida, and it was an absolute dream of a week.
- Danced into 2015 with some amazing friends… the entire first week of January was a celebration. (note the champagne flute!)
- My sister took this picture of me during the first blizzard of 2015. I specify first because there were about EIGHT of them in two months, with Boston breaking its snowfall record. I am not a snow person. I am a palm trees and sunshine person. Thank god for garage parking.

So that’s a quick look at the past year+. A lot has changed, but I like to think I’m just a more experienced, grown version of me. Stay tuned for more…
